Qantas
Leave a Commentwell if your planning on flying with Qantas anytime soon, you might want to reconsider. now 3 saftey scares in one week. A mid air explosion, a door that didn’t close and now a hydrolic leak. A bit disconcerning for me since I’m planning a trip to England towards the end of the year and sticking to that patriotic link with our unique marsupial logo I was going to fly with, I might want to reconsider.
MySpace vs Facebook

Presenting Times?
If I remember correctly, the time for presenting our assignments was going to start around 8am on tuesday. Anyway yet to see any info about this on ilearn or via email, also does anyone know what day the final exam is on?
Close Call
We’ve all heard the excuse my dog ate my homework, normally when someone uses this you think they’re just having you on, but have ever stopped to think that in some circumstances it’s true. A close call for me my dog has a nack for destroying everything, it may be small but it causes big trouble, it gets it’s teeth into pens, pencils, highlighters, cd’s, ventolin inhalers, and now USB sticks. I was luckly that when she got my USB stick I caught her and got straight back, nothing more than a bit of slobber on it, but if she got away theres no knowing what would of done with it, I could of had hours of work torn to shred literately in the matter of moments and while I would be pulling my hair thinking what to do, this dog would look at me with a sense of achievement she always has after tearing something apart.
Chaos on the Roads
It’s funny how an accident on the highway can disrupt the entire flow of traffic all around the city. It took forever to get home yesterday because a pile up on the highway. So understandably people would seek alternate routes. I think this paints the picture of how inadequate gold coast roads are, it doesn’t matter how much money is spent or how much work is done by Main Roads they always seem to be behind when it comes to building roads that can compensate for the amount cars on the road. It doesn’t get easier because apparently around 100 people move to the gold coast every month, meaning more cars on the road.
Almost over
This always seems to happen towards the end of every semester. Just when assignments need to be completed and you need to start preparing for exams, it seems work knows this and I’m swamped. I’ll normally have time to work to work on assignments or study for exams but just when I need that time I get email after email, requesting this and that and jobs that can take a couple of hours to whole day to complete. Also one thing I’ve noticed is that assignments take up alot of time and require alot of work yet they are worth only a small part of the final grade, It seemes there is so much weight is placed on the final exam that it almost nullifies everything you have done during the semester.
Blogging Task 10
picsviewr is a application that allows users to create slideshows with their own photos. These slideshows are created and can be posted for the world to see. To create an account users simply go to the site and add a username to the set web address (http://www.flickr.com/photos/username) which will redirect the user to their own customizable web site where they can post their slideshows. Picsviewr was created because the creators found that flickr lacked a good way to visualize photos. The days of storing photos in photo albums is gone, a lot of people now store their photos on computers, phones, ipods, etc., picsviewr offers a new way of presenting photos.
vistazoo is a customizable portal from where you can create professional virtual tours combining, panoramas, pictures, video, audio, floor plans and objects in 3D. Once a tour is created is placed on a world map allowing any signed member view your tour, it also allows the create to embed the tour onto any website they choose to., it works similar to youtube, create and share instantly. Vistazoo can be viewed from other devices such as the new Iphone by downloading the appropriate software. Vistazoo has also been utilized within the tourism and real estate industries either show off house of popular tourist locations around the world.
Filemail is a free service that can be used to send an unlimited number of emails up to 2GB in size without registration to anybody with an email address regardless of their inbox size. Filemail lets also password protect your files and customize how many times each file can be downloaded and how many days it will be available on the site, you can also ZIP and encrypt multiple files and receive email notification when a file is downloaded. If users wish to have a larger capacity to send, a small fee will allow a user to send up to 5GB and then a cooperate fee for anyone you wants to have up to 25GB to send.
